🧬 The Mastery Checklist
Before you read, check for these 3 hidden rules.
Ghunnah
Is there a Noon or Meem with Shaddah? Hold it for 2 counts.
Qalqalah
Is there a ( ق ط ب ج د ) with Sukoon? Make it bounce.
Madd
Do you see a wave ( ~ )? Stretch it for 4, 5, or 6 counts.
💡 Golden Tips for The Final Exam
1. Scan Before You Speak
Don’t just start reading. Look at the whole word first. Identify any Shaddah, Madd, or Ghunnah, plan your breath, then recite.
2. The “Idgham” Rule
In words like (خَيْرًا يَرَهُ), the Tanween merges into the Ya. Read it as “Khay-ray-yarah”. Don’t pronounce the ‘N’ clearly.
3. Stop Signs (Waqf)
If you run out of breath, stop on a word. But remember to change the last Harakah to a Sukoon (unless it’s Fathatain, which becomes Alif).

💬 Common Questions About The Final Lesson
Graduating from Noorani Qaida.
What comes after Lesson 17?
After mastering this lesson, you are ready to start the Quran (Juz Amma). You have all the tools needed to read any verse.
How do I read (مِن رَّبِّكَ)? The Noon has no sign.
This is Idgham Bil-Ghunnah (Merging without Nasal). The Noon is empty because it merges completely into the Raa. Read: “Mir-Rabbika”.
Why is (أَنۢبِيَآءُ) written with a small Meem?
This is the rule of Iqlab. When Noon is followed by Ba, it changes into a Meem sound with Ghunnah. Read: “Ambiyaaa”.
What if I still struggle with fluency?
Don’t worry. Repeat Lessons 11-17. Fluency comes from repetition. Try reading the same line 10 times until it flows smoothly.
How to pronounce (لَنَسْفَعًا)? It has Tanween.
This is a special case called “Noon of Emphasis” written as Tanween. Follow the rule of the next letter (Ba), which makes it Iqlab: “Lanasfa’am-bin…”.
Do I need to memorize the Tajweed rule names?
No. Knowing how to pronounce is more important than knowing the academic name (like Idgham or Ikhfa) at this stage.
How do I know if I passed?
If you can read any random word from this lesson correctly on the first try without spelling it out, you have passed.
